Subaru Forester 2.5i-Premium 2019
No one can give you a hard time buying Subaru Forester. If there’s anything, you’ll get a respectful nod, knowing from residents who know it all in the backyard barbie or dining table.
That’s because Forester has famously been one of the best and original mid-size SUVs available, transforming from all-wheel-drive throttle (AWD) to the present day.
That you don’t care about the top car, but the class below it, 2.5i Premium, is also a smart move.
What about closure? Well, not so fast, because there are some idyllic elements, most Forester 2.5i Premium owners will have to get used to.

Is there anything interesting about its design? 7/10
The Forester we are testing here is the fifth generation model, which was launched in Australia in September 2018. Although Subaru promises it is a completely new version, it looks almost identical to the previous version.
Claws of the new car is the easiest way to recognize the difference between it and the old model. But there are many less obvious exterior differences, such as the rear and front bumpers, the new grille and headlights, plus the shape of the windows that run down the side of the car.
Longer and wider than the outgoing model, the Forester is just over 4.6m long, 1.8m horizontal and 1.7m high.

Small icons on the screen for functions such as facial recognition are cute but difficult to makeup and add to the busyness of the cabin design.
So if you like a little orderly and minimalist like me, the cockpit is cluttered with screens and their graphics, the steering wheel is wrapped in buttons, a lot of layered materials and busy designs might be a bit much.
Does it represent good value for the price? What features does it come with? 9/10
